Artwork in Calyx publication

Just announcing that two of my works of art “Beauty Never Dies” and “Guimazoa,” were accepted for publication in the fall edition of the journal Calyx.

“Beauty Never Dies” (20-by-30 inches, acrylic on canvas) depicts the same woman at ages 18 and 65 in her native environment. A commissioned piece, the original is in a private collection and has been shown in Washington, DC.

“Guimazoa” (2,547-by-2,480 pixels, 300 dots per inch, digital techniques) represents one of Mother Earth’s aspects as a grandmother protector and has been exhibited in Puerto Rico and Washington, DC.

Calyx (https://www.calyxpress.org) publishes literature and art by women and nonbinary creators. It is an intersectional platform that serves to spotlight the voices of underrepresented communities in the literary world.
